This beautiful piece is acquired from Changchun, Manchuria. The piece was original hand painted with Japanese maple leaves in natural golden pigment. This piece was made for a Japanese family who lived in the region in 1920s. Japanese maple trees have been considered a symbol of grace personified by many Asian cultures for hundreds of years. Associated with peace and serenity of the world’s elements, Japanese maple trees represent balance and practicality.
