A stunning tribute to the most free spirited of animals. A series of original cire Perdue (precision lost wax casting) brass work by their creator Ou Cai. Each sculpture represents a famous Emperor War Horse of the Qin and Tang Dynasty.

From the Artist: “The impression of horses to most people, is that they are unrestrained and wild, but from the aesthetic point of view of contemporary art, I wanted to sculpt a different kind of horse, with simple lines and freehand expression, to interpret the horse as elegant and stable minded”.

Ou Cai has won numerous awards for his Tang Dynasty War Horse work and has exhibited all around the world.

The Great Warrior , Chinese name: Qingzhui was the one of 6 heroic horses in Tang Dynasty. According to the literature, The horse was the No 1 horse to the first King Li Shimin of Dang dynasty. Qingzhui has been known for taking the five arrows (an arrow in his front, the four arrows on the back) for the King in the Battle of Wu Junguan. The five arrows, were all fired from the front, it showed at the time he was running in an exceptional gallop pace. Wu Junguan victory started the beginning of the Tang Dynasty.
