Antique Chinese console table, circa 1920s, meticulously restored to preserve its historical integrity while enhancing aesthetic appeal.
Material & Finish.
The piece features a deep, glossy dark blue lacquer finish—applied in multiple thin layers and hand-polished to a mirror-like sheen. The restoration has revived the original lacquer without overcoating, maintaining subtle age-related patina and micro-crazing that testify to its century of existence.
Classic Ming-Qing transitional style with refined proportions and understated elegance. Two shallow upper drawers with recessed panel fronts, each fitted with cast brass teardrop pulls (original, showing soft verdigris patina). Below is a single full-width hidden space, which is ideal for hiding items from children. All drawers operate on traditional wooden runners, restored for smooth function.
