This old sophisticated 2 drawer console table with a secret compartment has been restored and re-lacquered. The restoration has kept its original gorgeous features intact: hand carved water lilies with the water on the two drawers, hand carved lion and two horses on the bottom panel which hides a secret compartment. It can be assumed that the piece was originally made for a wealthy family with good wishes on power and wealthy.
