About
The Peonies and lotuses were hand-painted on the doors of this sideboard. The Peony once was the national flower of the later Qing Dynasty (1636-1912 A.D). With its symbolical meaning of ‘riches and honour,’ this gorgeous piece conveys a nobility appearance. There are ageing marks on the front doors that don’t weaken its beauty but have added a sense of aesthetic touch to the piece. The furniture has been re-lacquered to its old days’ glory
