The Baoshi Chest with 9 drawers is a commissioned piece by Nookdeco, expertly crafted to meet our unique design specifications. Each piece is meticulously handcrafted from solid pine wood and finished with a distressed, high-lacquer turquoise coating.
Because every chest is hand-painted, the intricate patterns may differ slightly from one piece to another, adding a one-of-a-kind charm to each item. Regardless of slight variations, every chest is a beautiful, unique work of art.
All our exquisite chests are crafted by Mr Li, who is a talented artisan from a family-run carpentry business on the outskirts of Beijing. Known for his exceptional craftsmanship, Mr Li uses traditional Chinese mortise and tenon joinery—entirely free of nails or screws—to construct each piece.
