About
This elegant two doors red high lacquer cabinet has been restored and relacquered. The typical feature of this style of furniture is narrow at the top and wider at the bottom started during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644). It is commonly called: “Noodle Cabinet’. There is no hinge between the door and the door edge, but the door shaft is used for both flexible rotation and easy disassembly. The design of the noodle cabinet is very scientific, and it makes good use of the centre of gravity in physics. Because the cabinet is not vertical, the cabinet door can automatically be closed under the action of gravity.
The design concept of the noodle cabinet is very unique. It is a wonderful work in ancient furniture. Because of its uniqueness, among the ancient Chinese cabinet type furniture, the noodle cabinet is the most expensive.
