About
This extravagant five drawers blue high lacquer console table has been restored and relacquered. The front of this piece has overall beautiful carved panels with sunflower and sunflower leaves, which represent the family’s flourishing at present and future. The faces of top 2 drawers have classic Chinese double engraved circles around the handles. The top part of the rounded front legs matches harmoniously the rest of the rounded frame of the drawers. This piece was an excellent example of the melodious handcraft, made by Chinese philosophy ‘Hide Skill Out Of Guarded Clumsiness’.
