A handmade fine art reproduction of a vase from The Xuande reign (1426 -1435) of Ming Dynasty by Jingdezhen kiln

The whole body of the Vase is densely painted with 5 meticulously rendered five-clawed dragons portrayed emerging from crashing waves and flying amid stylised clouds and flames. One of the dragons is flying on the neck of the Vase. There is a seal mark of Ming XuanDe at the bottom of the Vase.

Jingdezhen Imperial kiln factory of Ming Dynasty Xuande period (AD 1426-1455) has a very important position in Chinese blue and white porcelain history. Not only is it famous for its quaint and elegant style, beautiful crystal glaze and colorful decoration, but also for its firing technology which has reached its peak in making blue and white porcelain. The blue and white porcelain made in this period has become one of the most famous porcelain of China, whose accomplishments have been hailed as “an unprecedented surprise to generations.” According to Jingdezhen Tao Lu Pottery Record Book for evaluation of Xuande porcelain: “All porcelains are fine, the most precious is blue and white.”
